Australians for Human Rights of the Voiceless Ltd is a not for profit and non political association has been incorporated by concerned Australians for the protection of human rights of all voiceless people. At present the focus is mainly on Northeast of Sri Lanka given the deteriorating human rights situation there especially since the beginning of 2006.

The Association will :

  • Monitor human rights violations and raise such violations with the Australian public, media, government and the international community.
  • Issue “Urgent Appeals” to alert the international community on the increasing level of human rights violations in Sri Lanka.
  • Form alliances with other human rights organizations to co-ordinate the campaign.
The primary objective of the association is to seek ways and means to prevent the human rights abuses continuing in Northeast Sri Lanka by bringing those violations to the immediate attention of the international community
